FIND THE RIGHT SPOT

The first step in building a home library is to find the best place in your home. Depending on the size of your mailbox, this could mean a do-it-yourself project or room decoration in the space you have. There are some considerations when planning a library. Do not place the indoor library near a wall that generates heat from the outside. These changes can greatly affect the condition of the library and lead to mold growth. Areas near food and drink should be avoided as they attract small animals and insects. Try placing bookcases in unused areas of your home, such as under the bed or in awkward corners.

SHELVING

When it comes to choosing shelves for your home library, there are two types of models to choose from: built-in and freestanding. Adding furniture to your home library is another great option. You can use existing furniture in your home, such as a sofa or a special chair.
